Love, Love, Love! – It’s a remarkable gift of a loving heavenly Father! He has put others in our lives to walk with us through life’s journey – who love us, as they reflect the love of God for His people.

In the Beatles’ 1967 hit, titled ‘All You Need is Love,’ these lyrics became a common chant of the era known as “The Sixties.” As it turns out, the title of this 60’s hit was also a truer statement than the Beatles probably intended, as it re-states the sentiment behind the passage from Colossians 3:14, which tells us, “And above all these put on love,

which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” – And it does! Love is a gift of God that is truly worth celebrating in its many rich, energetic, creative, dramatic and interesting forms.

Love not only binds everything together in perfect harmony, it also  heals, as it delivers hope and joy to our lives. It connects us to one another as nothing else in this world can. Love came down - and suffered, died and rose again, conquering sin and death, giving us the joy of our salvation and an eternity with our Lord and Savior.

Love, as it has been lived and experienced in A Future and a Hope Ministries, has manifested itself in the form of the many blessings and gifts poured out and caused God’s plans for the counseling ministry to grow, as it meets the needs of the community it serves, and provided the resources for a new building to be constructed to house the ministry and carry out the work God is doing to heal His people.

Love provided the blessing of donated furniture to fill the four counseling rooms and waiting area that A Future and a Hope Ministries will soon have available to facilitate hope and healing, as God uses the ministers as tools in His capable hands. Love inspired a cadre of men from the Windwood community to give up a Saturday morning and afternoon to move that furniture. Love caused a trucking company owner to send an employee (at his expense!) to drive a truck and help move furniture, even providing storage for the furniture until the building is ready to move into. Love caused a complete stranger, who was told about our ministry, to donate a beautiful refrigerator for the building’s break room. Love caused a visitor to our campus to donate new couches that will soon be used by clients in the waiting room. Love caused the Windwood community to provide the financial resources to pay for the new building in just four weeks!

Love is a professional interior decorator, who has volunteered her services to make sure that people feel comfortable in the well-appointed and nicely decorated facility God is building for us.

Love inspired many from our faith community to come together on a chilly Sunday morning to spend time celebrating what the Lord has been building for us. The love of our congregation is seen as they wrote their prayers, Bible verses and blessings on the exposed wood and floors of the new building –  and even caused children to “decorate” and bless the building with artwork that is illustrative of the love that binds everything together in perfect harmony.

As we have been blessed to receive and celebrate the love of God’s provisions to us in the form of the human love we enjoy during the month of February, it is our prayer for you that you feel love, enjoy love, receive love and give love to those God has placed in your lives.

. . And have a Happy Valentine’s Day!
